growin up

we ate porridge
in slums, we chant chorus
nothing fancy to flash, but our hearts wore the lotus
living between legal and illegal,
we remain focus
god is joker,  the joke was on us,
penny loafers steppin on roaches
we’ll see light, nothing  negative can approach us
kid’s eyes on magnum so robust
another victim lay on pavement in cold blood
arm and a suit, face the naked truth
ludicrous what we do for sacred loot,
pick and choose, its like we forget our roots.
